Default Pagronith Appy

Name: Pagronith

Main Job(s) and Levels: 75 RDM, 75 PLD, 75 WAR, 75 WHM (With a multitude of other 75s but those usually cover all the bases of necessity and they're my best geared. For completion sake though: MNK, BLM, THF, DRK, BST, BRD, SAM, and DRG)

Leveled Subjobs: Everything except COR and PUP

Which job do you prefer to play the most?: RDM is my primary love but for some weird reason Paggy tends to do a lot of stuff on PLD. Paggy also prefers WAR as Paggy's primary DDer, mostly because it's the one Paggy has better geared, and Paggy likes WHM for purely healing purposes.

Which job is your most heavily merited?: RDM and PLD are both fully meritted

What are your primary "online times"?: Paggy's usually on at random time for long intervals, usually in the afternoons to mid-evenings

Who referred you to Ancients Circle?: Leylu

Do you have any endgame experience? Were you ever in any endgame LSs? If so, which ones?: Paggy's first endgame LS was several years ago, Twilight Fire. We did sky mostly. On my own Paggy's done Limbus, Assault, ZNMs, and Salvage with non-endgame groups. Paggy also did Sky, Limbus, Einherjar, and Sea with Acro for a bit so gained a bit of experience there too.

Tell us a little about yourself, what you want to accomplish, etc: Paggy's tempted to put in the Pokemon theme song here, but pretty much want to complete the game. That means do every single quest, mission, or event possible in every which-way possible! Current goal: Maat's Cap! Biggest obstacle: Inventory Space! As about myself, Paggy's a fairly quiet person who owns a certain NM sheep in Lufaise Meadows (It's not Padfoot, it's Pagfoot, get it right SE!)

Fess up, you want some gear. Which events are you most interested in? Hum, I'm more of a gil-collector than gear as my inventory space is really getting cramped! Still, I do want to finish off my RDM and PLD AF+1 at some point so there is that. Also, at some point I want to snag some Salvage gear as well. Oh, and rack up Ichor in Einherjar, that's always good! I am a bit of a pack-rat though as I still have level cap stuff for Prommies (oh, and all my AF Weapons!)

Hello Pagronith

I'm not sure what the extent of your tanking experience is, so lets find out.

What's your favorite mob/event to tank?
What's your least favorite mob/event to tank?
What's the hardest mob you've tanked and why?
On Paladin, have you used /war, /nin, /rdm?

How was your experience with the events you spoke of with a non-endgame group?
After all this time without an endgame shell, what brings you to apply to one now?

Thats all for now!

Cheer for Paggy applying. Hes always so nice and willing to change jobs for BH. Paggy has a great personality and I would love to see him in AC.

Hm... favorite mob/event to tank... never really thought of a favorite. However, I must say it has to be multiple Campaign mobs on RDM, especially ninjas. It's fun having a whole squadron of ninjas toss their shurikens at me while I whittle one of them down at a time.

Least favorite definitely has to be Seiryu. The chance of becoming silenced while paralyzed and then taking on Hundred Fists (happened to me once) really was not pretty. Add to that the constant stripping of buffs, very annoying!

Toughest thing to tank, probably Black Shuck in Better than One assault. His Paralyze is evil and when the fire elementals are summoned so have to be careful with spells until they go away. Also recall being hit for big numbers both physically and magically.

War and nin Paggy's used but RDM sub never was asked for during endgame. Have used it for other events where needed heavy magical resistance such as the final ACP fight. It's also nice for soloing purposes in Campaign though sometimes opt for DNC sub for that.

It was really a humbling experience going from soloing avatars to being dropped by Defenders in Sky or AoE Blood Sabers from skeletons in Limbus. Found many of my tactics didn't work as enfeebles were resisted often by Gods and sometimes needed to use nin sub on PLD due to hard hitting monsters. My second time around though was much more comforting as time had passed, better equipment introduced, better merits attained. Maybe Paggy became better too, or maybe just more flexible as things with Acro seemed much easier (and the terrains traversed were much more familiar).

As to why now, well, have more time with classes over. Not only that, Paggy's usually been in his Mog House looking for something to do other than just XPing and farming; a change of pace that is. Hoping with time management Paggy'll be able to contribute time to more Endgame than just Dynamis with BH.

Thanks for your app Pagronith! So far it's been a good read, I'm especially impressed with the thoroughness of your responses thus far. ^.^ I know you've always been flexible in Dynamis, so that's a good quality to bring with you. Hmmm, a couple of questions...

What event(s) are you looking forward to participating in more regularly? Any reasons in particular?

How do you handle criticsm, in general? On a similar subject, would you feel comfortable asking for advice or critiquing of your skills?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

I'm actually looking forward to doing Sea Gods as I have very little experience with them. Always nice to try something new!

I don't really go out looking for advice unless I can't find the answer online. As far as criticism, I welcome suggestions on ways to improve myself, especially on jobs where I have little familiarity. However, Paggy tends to ignore condescending tones.

Sounds well and good, however not everyone is going to hold your hand to explain when you've done something wrong, especially when it's a moronic mistake. All opinions should be considered no matter the tone. How you react to the tone at the time and what you do in the future to better yourself is what's important.
